History and assessment
A speech therapist examines information about the child's developmental history, including speech development, previous therapeutic interventions, and any peculiarities in the family environment.
Setting tasks
Based on the assessment, specific speech goals are set for the child. These tasks may include improving phonemic perception, developing auditory memory, expanding vocabulary, and other aspects.
Therapeutic classes
The speech therapist conducts individual or group classes with the child aimed at achieving specified goals. Classes can include various exercises, games and interactive tasks.
Interaction with parents

At our Erudite Centre, there is a FREE rehabilitation program for children with disabilities who need assistance and support from specialized professionals.
Our centres are equipped with specialized and modern equipment, devices, trainers, and, of course, a highly qualified team of professionals from various fields.
The rehabilitation program is covered by the state according to Decree No. 309 dated March 27, 2019, by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
A sample application can be obtained from us or drafted in any form, but it must include details about the chosen rehabilitation centre for the child with disabilities (i.e., if you choose our centre, the submitted documents must specify our institution as the provider of rehabilitation services).
Additionally, the following copies must be provided with the application:
- Document certifying the identity of the child;
- Health plan issued by the VCC;
- Extract from the medical history (form No. 027/u).
Local authorities, in turn, carry out the following actions:
- Verify the presence of the provided documents;
- Ensure the current registration of the list of children who need rehabilitation and the adherence to the sequence of their direction for rehabilitation measures;
- Familiarize the representative of the child, directed to the children's rehabilitation centre, with the list of institutions where rehabilitation for children with CP and other conditions can be carried out (this list includes the Erudite Centre);
- Enter information about the child and their provision of health services into the centralized database on disability issues.

We came with our child under decree 309, and we immediately called and received very polite and accessible consultation. We had a comprehensive schedule, meaning 4 sessions a day, 5 days a week. We stayed for 3 weeks, and during all these days, we saw significant results and received many tips from specialists that truly helped and continue to help us. All the specialists are simply great and friendly. Our child adapted within about 5 days, and then we gradually saw significant results, such as increased attentiveness and the ability to sit still. Our child had hearing impairments, and we came for rehabilitation after cochlear implantation, meaning he had been hearing for only 2 months before we went to the centre. - When you notice the closedness, reduced observation, low speech activity of the baby
- Vocabulary accumulates slowly, poor stock of actively used words
- The child communicates with adults exclusively through sign language and facial expressions
- Difficulty in repeating words after adults (the child makes sound substitutions, omits sounds or syllables, rearranges them)
- Violation of general motor skills (walking poorly, not being able to chew, uncoordinated, chaotic movements)
- There is no coherent speech, the child speaks in separate words without connecting them grammatically)
- Violation of fine motor skills (cannot grab an object and hold it, lethargy of palms and fingers)
- Unformed or indistinctly pronounced sounds of the first ontogeny: а, о, у, е, и, и, п, б, м, т, д, к, в, ф, г, х

If the child's speech disorder manifests itself only in distorted sound pronunciation, then the process of speech correction in such a disorder can take from one month to one year - depending on the number of sounds that need to be worked on and the individual characteristics of the child. In case of general underdevelopment of speech (GDS), not only sound speech is disturbed (sometimes up to 16 sounds or more), but also the compound structure of words. Correction of such violations can last up to 2-3 years or more.
Depending on the complexity of the task, the number of classes is determined, it can be several times a week or more often.
