Stages of diagnosis of ADHD
History collection
The specialist performs a detailed analysis of the child's developmental history and mental state, including speech development, social interaction, and academic achievement.
Observation and evaluation of behavior
The specialist observes the child's behavior in various situations in order to assess the presence of characteristic signs of hyperactivity, inattention and impulsivity.
Physical examination
The child undergoes a medical examination to rule out possible medical causes of symptoms that may mimic ADHD.
Use of standardized assessment tools
Using standardized tests and questionnaires, such as the ADHD Rating Scale, to assess the child's relevant symptoms and functioning.
Comparison with diagnostic criteria
The specialist compares the results of the assessments with the diagnostic criteria to confirm or rule out the diagnosis of ADHD.

Methods of diagnosis of ADHD
This method is used to assess cognitive abilities and non-verbal intelligence. The test is intended for children aged 3 and over. It allows you to detect not only a delay in neurodevelopment, but also evaluates the intellectual level and determines the potential of the tested person.
The test is conducted by the child performing various tasks that assess such aspects as memory, attention, thinking, speech development and others. The testing process is carried out by a specialist in a specialized office using interactive games and tasks designed for a specific age level of the child.

At our Erudite Centre, there is a FREE rehabilitation program for children with disabilities who need assistance and support from specialized professionals.
Our centres are equipped with specialized and modern equipment, devices, trainers, and, of course, a highly qualified team of professionals from various fields.
The rehabilitation program is covered by the state according to Decree No. 309 dated March 27, 2019, by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
A sample application can be obtained from us or drafted in any form, but it must include details about the chosen rehabilitation centre for the child with disabilities (i.e., if you choose our centre, the submitted documents must specify our institution as the provider of rehabilitation services).
Additionally, the following copies must be provided with the application:
- Document certifying the identity of the child;
- Health plan issued by the VCC;
- Extract from the medical history (form No. 027/u).
Local authorities, in turn, carry out the following actions:
- Verify the presence of the provided documents;
- Ensure the current registration of the list of children who need rehabilitation and the adherence to the sequence of their direction for rehabilitation measures;
- Familiarize the representative of the child, directed to the children's rehabilitation centre, with the list of institutions where rehabilitation for children with CP and other conditions can be carried out (this list includes the Erudite Centre);
- Enter information about the child and their provision of health services into the centralized database on disability issues.

We came with our child under decree 309, and we immediately called and received very polite and accessible consultation. We had a comprehensive schedule, meaning 4 sessions a day, 5 days a week. We stayed for 3 weeks, and during all these days, we saw significant results and received many tips from specialists that truly helped and continue to help us. All the specialists are simply great and friendly. Our child adapted within about 5 days, and then we gradually saw significant results, such as increased attentiveness and the ability to sit still. Our child had hearing impairments, and we came for rehabilitation after cochlear implantation, meaning he had been hearing for only 2 months before we went to the centre. Immediately after returning home after 3 weeks, our child began active babbling, saying "ma-ma-ma" continuously and also "am-am". Usually, the diagnostic process includes a number of stages, such as observation, conducting tests and questionnaires, evaluating the development of speech and social skills, medical examination, and others. In this regard, diagnosis can take from several hours to several days. It is important to remember that the earlier the process of diagnosis and intervention begins, the sooner it is possible to provide the support and help necessary to facilitate the development and adaptation of the child.
- Impaired academic performance: Difficulties with concentration and attention can make learning more difficult and lead to underachievement.
- Social problems: The child may have difficulty establishing and maintaining relationships with peers and other people due to hyperactivity, inattention, and impulsivity.
- Emotional and psychological problems: Untreated ADHD can lead to low self-esteem, the development of depression, anxiety disorders and other mental problems.
- Behavioral challenges: The child may have difficulty controlling their own behavior, which may manifest in disobedience, aggression, or risky behavior.
